High School

High school marks a turning point in students’ education where they build on previously learned theories, concepts, and processes, and begin to draw their own conclusions, and chart a course for their future.

In high school, students begin to identify the curriculum that interests them. In order to build that groundwork and nurture those passions, your student needs an environment that will foster hands-on, exploratory, and creative learning in a setting that encourages their individual learning style. In addition, music, drama, STEM, and world language are offered as electives.

CCA High School uses a variety of curricula. We utilize standard Christian school curriculum such as Bob Jones, Excellence In Writing, Sonlight, and Apologia, but we are always seeking to provide our students with the best mix of curricula available. This means that we will sometimes bring in vetted curriculum from outside the Christian school umbrella as well. For example, while we do not teach Common Core math, we do use math texts that are also widely used in public schools. Each high school course is designed to help your student find what interests them and follow that path through to post-graduation success in the workforce or in college. We work to meet the needs of diverse learners, and our high school programs are offered at varying levels: core, comprehensive, remediation, and honors.
